Even more disturbing is that the fictional consequences of “Soylent Green” aren’t so improbable. They were echoed in a 1978 documentary, “Blind Prophets of Easter Island,” about an archeological expedition led by Jacques Cousteau. It uncovered evidence that had ominous overtones.
